1956 Clarenville's
Regional Library was a memorial to LAC Lester Blackmore who lost
his life during Word War Two. In 1956 Librarian was Miss Rose
Cooper.

The RCMP Building in
Clarenville (1956) provided offices and living quarters in charge
in 1956 was Corporal W. G. Gillett.
