Alvin Lowe of
Shoal Harbour sitting under the crab apple tree that still bears fruit
every year and his sister comes to gather the apples she loves so much.
This pic would have been taken in the early 1950s, if not in 1950.

Photo
of Abram and Dora (Noseworthy) Lowe on their wedding day in 1935.
Mrs. Lowe came to teach in Shoal Harbour and that is how they met. She
is also gone now, and we are Nanny and Poppy Lowe in Shoal Harbour which is talked about in
the story 'Poppys' Workshop'. Mrs.
Lowe was a Noseworthy from Harbour Grace, but once she met Abram Lowe, she made Shoal
Harbour her home for the rest of her life and they are both buried
in the little cemetery on the hill overlooking the waters of Shoal Harbour. It is how
they would want it.
