In late August we plan our first trip to Nfld including shoal Harbour where our cousin Boyd Hall has recently settled with wife Carol. They promised to show us around their part of the province. We are looking at other info sites for the rest

I have given the site a complete makeover, hope you enjoy the new look. Let me know what you think about the changes. I have also include a new menu to help you go through out the site. Please let me know if you would prefer the New menu or the old. I have left both menu systems on the site for now (planning to remove older menu in a few weeks)
Also do you fine the site to slow with the changes? Font on the menu to small?? Any thing else you want changes?? If so you can either post a message or send me an email,
Kevin.........

I am originally from Shoal Harbour, although I have not lived there since about 1971. I graduated from Horwood High in 1966. I love the photographs. They really bring back fond memories. I will be checking this website regularly. Being so far away from Canada, it's nice to still feel in touch with your home.

Wow, Kevin that was fast!! I was quite surprised to see the story 'PUT ON YOUR BOBBY SOX BABY' up and going so soon. I'll send the link off to the committee. Sounds like a whopping big party they're planning hey??
Thanks again for your support.

A trip down memory lane for sure. Grew up in clarenville, left at the end of grade 9 for other pastures. Especially liked the pic of Mr.E.Stanley, he was my great grandfather.

I really enjoyed your description of Shoal Harbor. My mother grew up there and I heard so many wonderful stories about this area. (Her name was Rhea Butler). My father, Fidele, was stationed in NFLD during the 1940's and he came to love it there as if it were his own home town. I was able to visit twice while growing up, but I want to visit again and show my daughter the beautiful landscape and expose her to the warm people she often heard her Papa talk about. We had planned to come all together, but my father sadly passed away last August. You've given me the chance to remember my special parents and their love for the places they held dear. Thank you!
