MINISTER TO BE HONORED Rev. T. J. Pitt, a retired Methodist minister, now living in St. John's, will be honored this spring in a special convocation by Pine Hill Divinity Halls.

He will receive one of five honorary doctorates to bed awarded by them United Church Divinity College and the presentation will be made at St. John’s during the Newfoundland Conference in June.

Rev. Pitt came to Newfoundland in 1913, took his theological training at Wesley College Montreal, and returned to the island shortly after he gradated in 1920.

From 1926 - 1931 he served Shoal Harbour Charge.
