"It sure is terrible," says Pearl, "what a body has to put up with these days. You know there's an oath those doctors have to take about carin' for the sick."

"Yes;" I says, "that's the Oath of Hypocrites."

"Now," says Pearl "you got it wrong, it's Hippocrates, that's what it is. I'll have to bring you over that big dictionary that slik, fast-talkin' salesman got mo to buy them; some years ago, if you're goin' to keep this up you'll want to have the words spelled right. I must run now, phone and let mo know how Sam gets on."

"He'll be all right," I says "I'll mix him up some hot brandy and stuff, and with my lovin' care and the old- fashioned cures he's bound to got over it."
