A letter from Mr. William Pittman now living in Stittsville, reports that he's seen many Newfoundlanders since going to Ontario, including Debbie Tavernor (Mrs. Eric Tavernor formerly of Shoal Harbour) and Kay (Vardy) Thistle of this town.

At the time he wrote Mr. Pittman was spending a short time in hospital. We do hope he is better and out again.

Lillian Pelley, a former student of Horwood High, now living in Milford, Connecticut, writes that she enjoys the business course she is taking at Bullard-Havon Technical College and that upon completion of the course she hopes to secure a position in Milford, a town she likes very much.

Mike Singleton sent us a card from down there in Nassau. Expect to see him back soon sporting the most beautiful tan and looking very fit after a wonderful holiday.

Latest news from globe trotting Joan Lowe, of Shoal Harbour is that she will leave 1ustralia on May 24th. And head back to Canada. Before then she will make a tour of China and Japan and plans to see Tasmania, and the Coral Islands, the Great Barrier Roof and the Queensland Coast.

She has visited the principal cities of Australia during her nine . months in that country and has seen as well, Honolulu, the Fiji Islands and Now Zealand. Incidentally Joan has given many lectures on Canada before Rotary meetings in Sydney.-.

Mr. Hayward Cooper, a former resident of Clarenville, now living in Scarboro, recently won the Dart Championship for the Province of Ontario., He is the son of Mrs. Beatrice Cooper who resides with him and his wife - the former Laura Ploughman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ploughman of Clarenville.
